I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counselor, with four years training at The Metanoia Institute through their counselling psychologist and psychotherapist programme. I have worked as a therapist for charitable organisations and the NHS since 2009.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the United Kingdom Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners (UKAHPP) and work in compliance with their ethical codes of practice.
I am an integrative practitioner, which means that I am able to draw on my knowledge of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and humanistic approaches to help reduce psychological distress and to enhance psychological well-being. I will work with you to ascertain which way of working will best suit your current needs.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space. Here you will be able to explore your difficulties and challenges in detail and can begin to increase your self-understanding in order to bring positive change.
I will work with you to put together a programme, which will best suit your current needs.
Areas of Specialism
I have worked with people with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, panic disorders, health problems, isolation, childhood abuse, trauma, loss, and past and present relationship problems.
Taking into account the nature of my clients’ concerns and needs, I am able to offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy.
